Spiritual Growth

"I am the good shepherd; I know my own sheep and they know me."

Practicing God’s Presence

When each new year begins, I usually make a couple of resolutions. They normally have to do with my diet, health, or attitude. How about you? Have you made any new year’s resolutions for yourself this year? I decided that instead of making personal resolutions that I may or may not stick with, I would set one main goal this year and carry it through. My goal is to grow

Eager Anticipation

An-ti-ci-pation… An-ti-ci-pa-aa-tion is making me wait. Is keeping me wai-aa-aa-aa-aa-ting. Do you remember that old song by Carly Simon? If not, maybe you at least remember the commercial where it was used. It was an ad for ketchup. Although I knew that God was with me, my own negative voices made it hard to hear God’s whispers of love. I decided to take a few days away to be alone and spend time in prayer and the Word to

What am I thinking?

Have you ever gotten an idea for a new project or been drawn into a new relationship or decided to jump into a new venture and all of a sudden you hear a voice in your head saying “What am I thinking? I am not qualified for this. I am not spiritual enough for this. Is God really calling me to do this?” I’ve been there. In fact I’m there
